3) Run the usa1_cmr.exe
file from your computer, this will install
all the satelite images for Oregon, Idaho,
Northern California and Nevada. It should
install them automaticly in your seeyou
directory. This is IMPORTANT
so be sure they are installed in:
program files/seeyou/maps/CMR/NAmerica
as shown in the screenshot below.
4) Open SeeYou and select: tools/rastermaps.
Be sure you see all the maps and they
are all checked. Like this screenshot
below.
NOTE: If you see
no maps, READ ON BELOW...
NOTE: If
you see no maps, that means you will have
to
click the 'Add' button
and navigate to the folder where you installed
the satelite images.
I found I had to navigate to: program
files/seeyou/maps/CMR/NAmerica
then you MUST
select all the map files (do this by clicking
the 1st file, then SHIFT clicking
the last file)
this will highlight all the files, now
click "Open"
See screenshot below:
5) Now from the Main SeeYou window select:
Tools/Options
Select: Map appearence and be sure the
"Raster maps" is CHECKED. Like
this screenshot below.
Remain in this options window and select:
Flight/3D View
Be sure "Raster Maps" is CHECKED
and Set the texture size as high as possible
(your Graphics 3D card memory will be
the only limit)
I also set the height exageration to 2.
See screenshot below.
You are now ready to load a flight and
view it in 3d!
Press the 3D view icon, or select View/3d
View
During 3D playback press ctrl
F7 to position the "camera"
behind the glider or in the cockpit and
enjoy your flight.
You can also set the playback speed from
the "Clock" dropdown icon, and
you can step forward and backwards, or
jump to the next thermal using the arrows
in the toolbar at the top.
